Our committees are groups committed to supporting the endeavors of New York Dance Marathon/the B+ Foundation. They assist with fundraising, event planning, volunteering, recruitment efforts, outreach, and most importantly, bringing the energy to NYDM! See the descriptions of our three committees below.

EVENT OPERATIONS COMMITTEE

The Event Operations Committee is a great way to get more involved in the planning and execution of NYDM events! Committee members will work directly with the Event Operations Team to assist in planning and carrying out logistics & aesthetics for NYDM events. Committee members should be willing to craft as well as dedicate time before and after events, and of course, have a B+ Attitude!

RECRUITMENT COMMITTEE

The Recruitment Committee is all about growing the NYDM community and helping more students get involved in our mission. As a member, you'll play a key role in introducing NYDM to the NYU community by tabling around campus, connecting with clubs and organizations, brainstorming creative recruitment strategies, and helping make every student feel welcome. Whether you're passionate about meeting new people, marketing, or coming up with fresh ideas, this committee is a great way to make a lasting impact on NYDM's growth and impact.

DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE

The Development Team is responsible for expanding NYDM's network of supporters and creating fundraising opportunities that strengthen the organization's impact. Through strategic outreach and relationship-building, the team secures corporate sponsorships, engages parents, faculty, alumni, and community partners, and cultivates meaningful donor relationships. The team develops long-term partnerships and explores new opportunities for growth. By building strong external relationships and increasing fundraising beyond student efforts, the Development Team plays a key role in ensuring the continued success and growth of NYDM.
